Boxing Day

We've had some beautiful, lovely holidays with our family.  So very grateful.  I laugh that this is the picture that I have of the special days -- Cricket wanting to be near the action and bringing her bone to chew on right on top of all the paper towels there to wrap up fragile items!
I tried to keep some nativity sets up for a little longer ... but in the end they were boxed up too.  I did leave out the gorgeous Christmas quilt my mom gave me yesterday.  It needs to be enjoyed and admired longer before it is put away!  The nativity sets all have such special meaning. This year some special, new additions: two we purchased on our summer trip to Moscow (they are on the ledge of the piano), another one from Norway, and a special one received from Cricket's raisers/friends Scott and Kim from Germany.
Our Gingerbread Village will be here a while longer.  Love the fun of an evening together with the family and the creativity it represents.  Can you believe these amazing amaryllis!  They were beautiful through Christmas.
Happy Boxing (and Organizing) Day!

Cricket is one smart pup. Always better to have a soft spot to chew a bone.
